Thousands of people have gathered outside Buckingham Palace and Green Park to pay their respects to the Queen. Mourners continued to bring bouquets of flowers, candles, notes, and other tributes to lay at the palace gates.

Queen Elizabeth II Dies at 96

Queen Elizabeth II, whose reign of almost seven decades made her Britain’s longest-serving monarch, died on Sept. 8, 2022 peacefully, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96.
