America is going through a public health crisis. Our youth are not getting the proper education to keep their bodies happy, safe, and healthy. If we do not act now, it will continue to worsen. Executive Director of Keystone Coalition for Advancing Sex Education, activist, and high school senior KC Miller analyzes the failures of abstinence programs and challenges our country to move towards a comprehensive and inclusive model. One that give students the skills they deserve with medically accurate, age appropriate, comprehensive sex education lessons. KC Miller is the Founder and Executive Director of Keystone Coalition for Advancing Sex Education, a community organizer, and high school senior. He is a strong health and human rights advocate recently awarded the 2017 Young Hero Award by the National Liberty Museum. Miller leads Sexual Health Awareness Educators, an on campus initiative that provides free contraceptives and education to students. In addition to his health advocacy, he has a passion for politics and has worked on dozens of political campaigns focusing on Youth Engagement. He is heading to University of Pennsylvania for Nursing and Health Care Management. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
