In this video we continue to discuss Thomas Aquinas's view that God is knowable. He has just argued that it is possible an argument could prove God exists. If an argument could tell us one way or another that God exists, a few concerns arise. First, it seems that there is a strong argument against God not existing: God is incompatible with evil. Second, it seems that an argument might show that God is unnecessary. In response, Aquinas answers these objections and gives the famous Five Ways to prove God's existence. Common to all of them is the view that God is necessary for our science and metaphysics to work. In this video we give an overview of the Five Ways.
