This is a combination kit, so in the box, you will find a selection of complementary kits and additional scene elements.
The main focus of the diorama is a Hawker Typhoon Mark one bee of two four seven squadron, from the second tactical air force.
The parts for this kit are included in a series of four grey plastic sprues and one clear sprue.
The Typhoon can be assembled with its gun bays open for maintenance and re-arming as befits the theme of the diorama.
Also included are two additional light grey sprues and a further clear sprue.
These contain all the parts to assemble a number of RAF support vehicles, including a standard tilly truck, a Bedford fuel bowser, and a Bee es ay motorcycle.
To populate the diorama, the kit provides 37 RAF personnel and associated equipment. All are moulded in dark grey on their own sprue.
There is a small bag containing assembly materials, namely a tube of Humbrol poly cement, eleven small tins of acrylic paint and two paintbrushes.
A plastic diorama base is also provided, this will allow the modeller to create the scene of a temporary revetment at a forward base.
There is also a sheet of waterslide decals. These contain decals for the vehicles as well as the Typhoon. Please note invasion stripes are also included.
Completing the ensemble we have an instruction booklet detailing the assembly in a logical series of thirty-eight pictorial steps.
The booklet also offers painting advice for the Typhoon and vehicles, specifically utilising the paints provided with the kit.
