Alongside a serious threat to its military security, Taiwan also faces a wide range of significant domestic policy challenges. Dr. Richard Bush, author of Difficult Choices: Taiwan’s Quest for Security and the Good Life, will address the issues of public health, conscription, energy security, and public finance. How can Taiwan prioritize these problems and manage them effectively?
Dr. Bush’s talk was followed by a panel discussion with three leading experts: Prof. Alicia Garcia Herrero, founding board member of CAPRI and Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Natixis and Senior Fellow of Bruegel, Mr. Enoch Wu, founder of Forward Alliance, Prof. Jiunn-rong Yeh, chair professor at National Taiwan University College of Law and Taiwan’s former Minister of Education and Minister of the Interior.
