My transcription for violin quartet of the 1st Movement of Mozart's joyous Divertimento No. 1 in D Major, Allegro, KV 136. Written when he was just 15 years old, the maturity of what was written as entertainment, possibly to be played as background music, is tremendous. This movement is in sonata form, which means there is a 1st and 2nd subject in the opening section, followed by a development section, which then returns to the opening music in what is know as the recapitulation.
