Are you in a one sided relationship? Are you experiencing unrequited love? Unreciprocated love from your other half? And most importantly what is a one sided relationship? In this video, I'll discuss how to spot the signs, and what you can do about it.
It's normal to want to make our significant others happy in our relationships, so we tend to go out of our way to do things for them.
But sometimes in relationships, things don't always go as planned. Sometimes we find ourselves going more and more out of our way only to notice that it is not reciprocated by our significant others.
You realize that your needs and desire fall short with your other half, and he isn't putting as much effort into making you happy as you are to him.
There are many reasons why your other half does not put forth as much effort as you do. Many people are scared of commitment and tend to disengage in behaviors that are going to make you guys closer and more of a couple.
It is important to remember that just because you feel as though you are putting more effort into the relationship, it does not mean your other half doesn’t care about you, or the relationship.
When you're in love, it's easy to ignore the signs of unequal effort. It is important to identify the signs as early as possible so you can address the issue before it gets worse.
The last thing you want is to be in a relationship that feels unfulfilling and disappointing.
Here are some warning signs to pay attention to:
1. You make all the plans
2. You are not a priority
3. You initiate communication
4. You defend his behavior to your friends
5. You feel stressed
6. He doesn't go out of his way
7. Issues are not addressed
8. He doesn't care or ask what is happening in your life
9. Your affections aren't reciprocated
10. You feel that something is wrong
So What Next?
Realizing you are in a one-sided relationship is one of the hardest things to do.
I suggest that before you end the relationship, it is important to let him know how you feel about the relationship. If he knows how much his behaviors or lack of behaviors are hurting you, then he should do something to change them.
That being said, sometimes the best thing to do is end the relationship. In any healthy relationship, it takes 100% effort on your part and 100% effort on his part. If he is not putting the amount of effort you are putting in, it will never work.
No matter what happens (whether you stay together or not), you must eliminate negativity from your relationship. You deserve to be with someone who treats you like the beautiful, loving, kind person you are.
