After the fun and success of the second mission in Road Rules 2 in which consisted of Road Rules entering the Real World Miami house trying to steal thir 8-ball, BMP decided to push the adversity further when they put The Real World Boston on vacations in Puerto Rico, a stop of Road Rules Islands. This special was aired in 2 nights, consisting only in two episodes of 20 minutes.
NOTE: As there is a lot of controversy regarding Road Rules: All-Stars (officially credited as the first Real World Road Rules Challenge), I thought it would be a better idea to show the first ever competition between Road Rules and Real World (something that would be repeated on later seasons filming at the same time). I feel like this is truly the 'first season' or the one that made possible the other ones.
