Russian commander Apti Alaudinov said Ukraine is the "starting point" in the war against "Satanism". Alaudinov made this statement during an interview with Russian state television host Vladimir Solovyov. Meanwhile, Russian plane malfunctions have tripled in just one year as Western sanctions imposed in response to Putin's war in Ukraine suffocate the aviation industry. A lack of spare parts has led to several cases in recent months of Russian domestic passenger planes making emergency landings due to technical issues. Ukrainian authorities said the Russian military lost 3,010 soldiers, 21 tanks and used 15 missiles between December 7 and 9. This data was posted on Facebook in three separate daily updates by the general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ending each post with a vow to "beat the occupier!."
