Are you looking for a unique place to have a meal in the middle of Virginia Wine Country? Look no further than the Crooked Inn Tavern at the Meander. Circa 1766 this tavern and Inn merge the perfect mix of history and hospitality. The dinner menu by Chef Jenae Jenkins has a great variety and can be purchased as a 3 Course Dinner option or a la cart. For the first course I had the spring mix salad: cucumbers, feta, sunflower seeds, and basalmic vinaigrette, the second course salmon with spring greens sauce, basmati rice pilaf and roasted asparagus and for the third course the chocolate lava cake with whipped cream. Also, featured here is the petite apple tart with caramel sauce that went back to my room for later and Prosecco by the fire. The portion size of the salmon was very large and everything was very flavorful and delicious. I couldn’t think of a better way to end a wine country day than a relaxing meal at the Crooked Run Tavern. If you’re in the area you should check them out and come make your own #meandermoments 🍷❤️ The best part is you can also, book yourself a room at the Inn and not have to drive back home.
