(1 Nov 2018) Britain's Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall met Gambian President Adama Barrow in the country's capital Banjul on Thursday.
Speaking at a welcome ceremony Charles called the regime change that ousted longtime dictator Yahya Jammeh an "important milestone."
In February, Gambia was accepted back into the Commonwealth of Nations, which is made up mostly of countries that were once British colonies.
Charles and his wife Camilla arrived in Gambia on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
