Hidden Clues In Solar Opposites

Fans know Rick and Morty is packed with tons of Easter eggs, and we may have even seen some crossover clues during the show Solar Opposites. Is Fun Bucket related to Squanchy? You might be convinced after seeing a purposefully placed “Get Schwifty poster in the pilot episode! There’s also a great little nod to the video game Trover Saves the Universe, and it seems as though post-apocalyptic people in both universes can’t help but refer to the before fore. There are plenty of other hidden references hidden in the show, including a shout out to the classic cartoon The Simpsons. The Wall subplot is one of the best aspects of the show, so we’ll talk about the significance of Tim being confined to Room 101 and reveal a particularly important popsicle stick joke you might not have noticed. Korvo’s family is new to the planet, but they’re really entrenched in pop culture based on the nods we’ve seen to the Star Wars franchise.
What do you think about this Hulu original? Did Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan manage to create another home run or does it fall short of their other projects? Let us know what you think, and tell us about any interesting aspects of this show we might have missed in the comment section below.
