PMI’s CEO, Jacek Olczak appeals to skeptics to review the scientific data on smoke-free alternatives and stop spreading misinformation. Find out more about our smoke-free future ➡️ [ Ссылка ]
There are 1.1 billion smokers in the world today. According to the World Health Organisation, this number will be roughly the same in 2025.
We believe that giving adult smokers, who don’t quit, better access to – and information on – smoke-free alternatives can help make a positive difference and improve public health.
That’s why, as of March 2021, Philip Morris International (PMI) has invested several billion dollars on researching and developing smoke-free products that – whilst not risk-free – are a much better choice for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke cigarettes.
Our goal is to make cigarettes obsolete and deliver a smoke-free future.
And while we fully accept that some people are still skeptical of our commitment to this goal, misinformation on smoke-free alternatives can only serve to do more harm.
That’s why we share our scientific research and data with 100% transparency.
WHAT ARE SMOKE-FREE ALTERNATIVES?
Vapes, e-cigarettes and heat not burn tobacco products or HTPs are all examples of smoke-free alternatives. They are non-combustible products and produce vapour (scientifically known as ‘aerosol’) rather than smoke. They are not risk-free but they are a much better choice for adults who would otherwise continue smoking cigarettes.
