Orbital fractures are the traumatic injuries to the bones surrounding the eye (orbit). These include blow out and Zygoma tripod fractures. Additionally, the anterior segment and iris trauma together with the corneal abrasion and corneal foreign body are described. Other conditions include recurrent epithelial erosion, hyphema and traumatic uveitis.

TYPES OF ORBITAL FRACTURES
Orbital fractures are classified into open or closed and internal, rim and complex fractures. The evaluation of orbit holds its significance in this regard. Signs of blow out fractures include ophthalmoplegia and periocular ecchymosis. Imaging can be done by CT scan and MRI. Additionally, Zygoma tripod fractures are described in detail.
