Once again: Etude no 30, opus 70 by Sebastian Lee (from Vierzig leichte Etüden).

I wasn't quite satisfied with the last recording of this etude (day 158). The A-string sounded harsh and scratchy. I did a bit of research about strings and their durability and found out that especially the A-string from the Larsen Soloist line, which I have, doesn't last long and should be changed at least once a year if you play a lot. But you can also prolong the life of your strings if you wipe them clean with alcohol after practice!
I did that and it helped the sound. I also worked on my bowing to make string crossing smoother - that helped a lot too! :-D
And last but not least - I got a mic for my iPhone to record with - hope you can hear the sound improvement!

P.S. I'm still on vacation - the weather is beautiful, warm, and sunny. What a bliss.
