A spring/well is a continous stream of energy. So it is still active.
If it is active, it will have fluctuations in its output.
The flow of energy of the stream is only a tiny fraction of one of all those energy circuits on earth.
All these circuits are constantaniously connected to our sun through the birkeland currents and Interplanetary Magnetic Fieldlines.
Hence: If the Suns output fluctuates, Earths output will fluctuate too.
