Plot/Story (spoilers!)

(BTW, Sepia are memories, film grain is wishful thinking, although this isn't as consistent as I might have preferred)
Jack and Sally are the closest of friends but Sally has gradually fallen in love with Jack and is too shy to be open with her feelings. Unfortunately, Jack has become engaged to Emily, a newcomer to Halloween Town. Jack and Emily don't get along very well, nor do they seem really compatible with each other. Sally is sad to watch her close friend and the person she loves endure an unhappy relationship, but she feels like she can't really compare to Emily and so she attempts to support and comfort Jack as best she can without being too forward.
Emily, meanwhile, has become somewhat jealous of Sally's relationship with Jack and has discouraged him from spending time with her. Consequently, Jack ends up blowing Sally off more often than not. However, Jack finds that attempting to further remove Sally from his life to improve his relationship has only made him more lonely and unhappy. Sally senses this, and still seeks Jack out on her own.
Eventually, Emily confronts Sally about her friendship with Jack. Sally and Emily discuss the issue, and Emily comes to the realization that Sally and Jack truly understand one another better than she could have ever imagined. Later, Emily talks with Jack about his friendship and without giving anything away about Sally's feelings, encourages him to think more in depth about where his priorities really lie with his relationships. She is content as Jack leaves to ponder the issue, knowing that he'll be wise enough to make the correct decision.
Jack and Sally simultaneously reflect on their friendship, realizing that there couldn't be anyone better suited for them. Emily then reveals to Jack that she is wise to the repressed emotions between he and Sally and asks him to make the right choice. Jack still feels perplexed, but after returning from another long, self-searching walk, Emily gives her ring back to Jack. When he asks her why she did it before he had made his decision, she tells him simply that she already knows who it is and that the engagement ring was never really hers.
Having not heard anything from Jack, Sally decides that his decision has been made and it's not her. While not surprised, she is still heartbroken and decides to spend some time by herself, to reflect, on their favorite hill. All of a sudden, Jack appears behind her and confesses that the feeling is mutual. As they finally come together, Emily watches happily, deciding to move on to her next adventure, hoping that she'll one day find her own Sally or Victoria.
(A male version, probably. Although, I wouldn't rule anything out ;-)

So I've been going through a minor Nightmare Before Christmas phase lately, as well as a fascination for those ever popular Disney crossover videos, so I decided to create something that sort of brought those two things together.
I also used this vid as an opportunity to experiment with some of the fancy-schmancy effects that I hadn't yet really used in Sony Vegas. All in all, I'm pleased with how it turned out (especially the end) and it was a great learning experience. Oh, and I apologize about the quality of the clips. I still haven't really figured out how to pull/convert clips so that they still look attractive and not all pixely. I probably need some kind of high-tech software. One step at a time, you know?
As far as the story goes, I thought it would be interesting to combine these three characters into a love triangle situation. Emily seems like she'd be an eligible match for Jack, but I was torn because I LOVE Sally and she and Jack truly are the OTP. I originally didn't intend to have that in depth of a plot aside from the lyrics of the song, but I didn't want Emily or Sally to come off as "the bitch" (because they're both great) so I kinda departed from that and, hopefully, made everyone involved likeable. Admittedly though, I feel bad for Emily because she "lost the guy" again. But don't worry, she'll eventually find what she's looking for, I'm sure.
That's about it. I hope you like, don't forget to rate and comment!
Oh yeah. TNBC and Corpse Bride belong to their respective owners. "You Belong With Me" is copyright Taylor Swift and her record company or whatever, and I am not profiting or making any kind of money off of any of this. This is for entertainment purposes only so please don't mute/delete my vid! Kthnxbye
