Sorry to my wife and everyone else who finds these videos painfully boring. Comparing the Sony a6300 and Canon 80D for home video/family video use. The Sony a6300 has been updated with the a6500 and more recently the a6400. The Canon 80D has yet to be replaced/updated. Both cameras are very good. The 1080p in both cameras is less than amazing. The 4K in the Sony is remarkably good, but 4K makes my computer melt. So which camera is best for 1080p home video use? It's not a slam dunk either way, but the Canon is a great choice. If home video is all you're interested in, I would recommend the Canon M50 over the 80D. I traded my M50 for an 80D because I was interested in a more stills-centric camera body, and the DSLR provides that. Thank you for watching.
