Phillip Sear plays an interesting piano transcription of the famous Scottish popular song by the Scottish composer and arranger Alfred Moffat (1863-1950).

Alfred Moffat (1863-1950) studied in Berlin, and is mainly remembered today for his work with various German and British publishers to produce editions of baroque and classical British and French violin works. His 'Intrada' for violin and piano remains popular today (it seems to be an original piece in baroque style). I assume that this transcription was written around 1890, as Moffat produced a large collection of piano duet arrangements of various British songs at this time.
My thumbnail shows a (slightly modified and extended) painting of Annie Laurie by William Wallace (1801-66) from the Glasgow Museums Resource Centre (GMRC).
