The German Navy was heard blaring The Imperial March from Star Wars — music associated with Darth Vader — as one of its ships made its way up the Thames River in London.
Eyewitness video shared on August 19 shows the music playing from a German corvette.
A German Navy spokesperson told the BBC there was “no deeper message” to the song choice and “the commander can choose the music freely.”
