So I just got back into playing about a year ago. Didn't play for 10+ or so years. Took a long time to actually get back into it and I love this new guitar. Never had a schecter before. I like ibanez MIJ series guitars for the most part. But this guitar has a sustainiac and it's quite sick and plays well enough. Originally wanted to play 3 different final fantasy 7 songs I had been working on because Im in the middle of playing the FF7 remake game and I love the music. But I failed to record... I took 1 or 2 takes and evrything recorded was such shitty quality I had to cut the other attempts and just left in part of yuffies theme,. Problem is with this headset mic for recording I had to crank my amp up so fkn loud that playing anything with low gain just doesn't sound good at all. in fact the only sound you can hear is if I play super hard with my fingers or pic. So while trying to play ff7 main theme and Tifas theme, the only thing I could hear is a few loud out of place sounding notes. So idk... how do youtubers do it? This is a process I had little respect for until trying myself. I just wana record for fun with something cheap and ez. I dont want to make any purchases, lol. But my laptops webcam and mic isnt good enough, clearly. Im already playing with 0 effects straight into an old barely functioning orange practice amp my friend gave me, with just a little amp distortion. So with that difficulty + the shit recording gear I have, playing anything remotely nice sounding is extraordinarily too difficult under these circumstances. But here is a small clip, no warm up, just went into it to test it out so here is my first recoring myself playing ever. Guitar: Schecter Reaper Elite-6 FR S deep blue, made in Korea. amp: Orange Crush 20RT mid low high cranked, distortion at 8 or 9. mic: Razer gaming headset. laptop webcam: Legion 2022 20" plectrum: 1.5mm white Jazz 3. fingers: I am 5'7" 1 cable: cheapest one at guitar center.
