A massive Asteroid is hurtling towards Earth. At the speed of 65,000 kilometres per hour. It has a diameter of about 260 feet. Which is almost as big as the Statue of Liberty. The massive asteroid named 2024 MT1. It will come close to Earth on July 8, 2024

It is a potentially hazardous Asteroid. Because they could cause significant damage. If they were to collide with Earth. It could lead to widespread devastation. And create huge explosions, fires, and tsunamis.


But, don't worry about it, it will not hit Earth. Luckily on 8 July, 2024 MT1 will make a close approach to Earth. And it will miss Earth by just 1.5 million km. This is about 4 times the distance between Earth and the Moon. Also NASA has been laying out a plan. To mitigate such types of asteroid threats.
