Philippine Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire reiterates the safety and efficacy of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines as they arrive in the country today. The agency hopes the inoculation of healthcare workers will help improve public confidence in COVID-19 vaccines. She says the vaccination among medical frontliners is purely voluntary, but they are highly encouraged to get inoculated even with the Sinovac vaccine because it is proven to be effective.
