In this episode I am joined by my friend (and favourite YouTube historian!) Dr Kat of @ReadingthePast AND the Golden Hinde's, Pete Sayer
On a mission to uncover what life was like for the crew on board Francis Drake's Golden Hinde, Dr Kat and I mysteriously find ourselves transported back to the year 1577! Faced with a very perplexed Mariner and Privateer named Pete, who is as confused as we are, he signs us up to join his Captain's crew, much to our horror and dismay!
Whilst I learn the role of the gunner, Dr Kat is made to learn the somewhat gruesome role of Barbour Surgeon!
Will we make it out of the ship and back to the 21st century before it sets sail on it's journey around the world?! You'll have give it a watch to find out...!
