This delightfully sweet Bourbon Peach Preserve/Syrup can be uniquely adjusted to suit your tastebuds.
Wonderful served over ice cream. Or, a tasty topping for pound cake or individual shortcakes. Great on pancakes, waffles, or any way you like.
Top with a dollop of freshly made whipped cream and lose your mind!
I chose to cook the Peach mixture in my FreshTech Jam & Jelly Maker because I'm quite lazy. And it's super easy.
You can also cook it up stovetop. Just stir, stir, stir until it reaches around 220°.
Your choice of Bourbon is added after cooking. Stir it well, then fill your jars. I had enough to fill 4 half pint jars, and a little snack portion left over for my husband.
0•4-4.5 cups peeled and cut up fresh peaches
• 1 cup white sugar
•1.5 packed cups of brown sugar
•A couple tbsp of lemon juice
•1 tsp butter
Cook all ingredients together.
When finished, add Bourbon to taste.
Fill jars and refrigerate, or water bath can for 10 minutes.
That's it! Enjoy with friends and family ~ But don't tell them how easy it was to make. Let them be thoroughly impressed.
