Episode 7 - Part Two: Coach, Banbridge, Northern Ireland. UK - FULL VERSION.
Bonus segment: Touch Magazine Top Ten Dance Chart
First Broadcast: Friday 17th July 1998.
The Coach in Banbridge, a legendary super club that played host to 1,000s of clubbers across Ireland and beyond every weekend. This was our first visit to The Coach and what a night it was, the first thing that struck me was the amount of clubbers queuing for entry at 8pm, around 800+ and it was still daylight, guess the 1.30am closing time had something to do with that. The reception we got on arrival and throughout the night was as always enthusiastic in Northern Ireland as was the hospitality from Myles and Brian.
We set up the "studio" for promoter/ DJ interviews in the back room which was relatively sound proof apart from the rumbling bass lines shaking the walls. The atmosphere in the main room was electric and it seemed everyone, all 1,500 of them wanted to be on TV jockeying for the best possible position on the dancefloor. We normally only film one set of Vox Pops but the demand for more was undeniable so we got busy and shot a second set as you can see in this episode.
This episode first hit the screens on Friday 17th July 1998, presented by Lisa Nash, and featured promoters Myles and Brian Scullion, with resident Mark Wesley, Anthony Pappa, Russ, Paul aka K-Klass and of course loads of you lot! Enjoy peeps 😉
