Momotaz Begom is the jewel of Bangladeshi folk music. This parliament member of Bangladesh took music lessons from an early age from his father Modhu Boyati, later from Matal Kobi Razzak dewan and Abdur Rashid Sarkar. In the two decades of her career, she released more than 700 music albums. Baul music runs through her blood. Every performance of Momotaz celebrates the rich culture of Bangla folk music. The audience goes crazy over her singing. The audience of Dhaka International FolkFest 2018 got to witness the breathtaking performance of Momotaz Begom. Dhaka International FolkFest is all about the celebration of music. This festival always brings the root of music and the fourth edition of the festival was no different.
