Deburring, chamfering and filleting is a process of machining sharp edges created by prior machining operations on a part. NX CAM helps you automate the programming of deburring operations, which reduces programming time and eliminates errors. The automated Deburring operation in NX CAM includes 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling capabilities. NX automatically recognizes the edges of parts with any level of complexity, and then creates operations to machine the specified chamfer size.
In this short video, you can see how to quickly create 5-axis deburring operations with minimum user input. Advanced controls help you define tool axis and transition strategy, resulting in smooth and optimized machining operations. To validate the created toolpaths, you can run G-code driven simulation before you send the program on the CNC machine.
