Patient Reported Outcome Measures, known as PROMs, do play an increasing role in the evaluation of the outcome of medical procedures, interventions or treatment. In the field of medical device, the use of PROMs in the assessment of the quality and safety of the device is not very large.
The CORE-MD project has conducted studies to explore the use of PROMs. John Chaplin, from the Gothenburg university, presented during this webinar the results of the study performed. Yasemin Zeisl from the European Patients' Forum highlighted the expectations of patients while participating in PROMS. Philip Moons from KU Leuven reported on the use of PROMs in cardiovascular research and to assess the quality of care.
