HOW LONG YOU CAN LEGALLY STAY IN THE USA WITH YOUR VISA
Did you know that you can no longer rely on passport entry stamps to determine how long you can legally stay in the United States on a nonimmigrant visa?
That's because agents of US Customs and Border Protection (or CBP) have stopped issuing passport entry stamps and are now relying exclusively on electronic I94 entry records.
But don’t worry. It’s easy to access your most recent entry record online.
Just go to the CBP’s I94 website shortly after you enter the United States.
Here's where to find it:
Then scroll down to GET MOST RECENT I94 and click on the box.
Agree to the terms of service.
Then Enter Your Travel Info exactly as it appears in your passport.
When you click Next, you should see your most recent I-94 and all of the information you need, including your visa classification, when you entered the US, and how long you can stay on this trip.
