“The Asian Longhorned Tick and Theileria orientalis in Cattle” is a recording of a lunch-and-learn webinar, presented by the Indiana State Board of Animal Health on Nov. 16, 2022.

The Asian longhorned tick (also known as the bush tick) was first sighted in the United States (New Jersey) in 2017. Since then, the small, brown tick has spread to more than a dozen other states. Veterinarians and livestock owners need to be aware of the threat and how to identify the pest, which reproduce rapidly and can transmit a parasite, Theileria orientalis, that can kill cattle.

Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians are eligible to receive 1 hour of CE credit by viewing this in its entirety and sending an email to BOAH (animalhealth@boah.in.gov) with the following information:
1. Name, license number, email address, address
2. Summary of three things learned in this video along with the video's title.
The CE certificate will then be emailed to you once we have approved the information stated above.
