Big gold players like Newmont and Hancock Prospecting have recently also secured land packages in the australian Bendigo gold belt, Victoria, not far away from Kalamazoo's Castlemaine gold project. Historically, Bendigo is one of the richest alluvial gold fields in the world. However, gold exploration there woke up again only a few years ago, since modern exploration methods arised, which opened new chances and capital became available again. In fact, exploration companies have now been trying to find the sources of this alluvial gold and prioritise drillings at depth. Kalamzoo's neighbour, Kirkland Lake, started its operation there some years ago. This has led to a very profitable underground gold production at extraordinary gold grades of 46 g/t - the Fosterville gold mine. 40% of Kalamazoo Resources' stocks is owned by Chairman & CEO Luke Reinehr and his family and friends.
