This never made it into a real game, so this is supposed to be the opening 'attention drawing'. making use of my graphic primitives. It's all in machine language. I wrote it in 1985.
The commodore 64 had graphical hardware, the VIC2 chip, but no supporting built-in software to do cool things with it. So every 'hi-res' bitmap mode, every line, every pixel, had to be carefully drawn by my own developed machine language primitives. For this thing, i remember that i made a library to have software sprites. (every O or X) small regions of graphics that got 'blt'ed onto the main screen, many more and than the 8 hardware sprites of the graphics chip. (though i could have used the raster interrupt and still do it with the hardware sprites. things that were not known by me at all at that time :-) )
Maybe I should still finish this game for once and for all. :-D
