Today, The Coca-Cola Company again joins the global community in recognizing International Human Rights Day, which commemorates the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948. The declaration outlines the basic human rights, dignity and freedom to which every person is entitled.
At Coca-Cola, our commitment to human rights extends across all aspects of our business. It guides how we operate in thousands of communities around the world every day, and informs our interactions with suppliers, colleagues, customers and countless others whose lives we touch.
This year, we asked some of our own Coca-Cola associates to share their thoughts on this important topic. The answers are powerful and often simple, and they show how deeply this issue affects us all.
