Casual, imperfect gameplay of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on the PlayStation 4, captured on the PlayStation 5, and showcasing the Insect Glaive. In this compilation video myself and fellow Monster Hunters from across the globe team up and travel to the ruins of Castle Schrade and take on the Living Nightmare, the Dark Demise, the Black Dragon... Fatalis...

I'm not kidding when I say this.... When Fatalis was first released as the true Final Boss for Iceborne I was so obsessed with hunting it that I started having dreams about playing Monster Hunter and fighting Fatalis. And not one of those weird abstract dreams, I was actually playing the game properly. Sadly I didn't get to keep any of the materials I gathered when I woke up...
I count myself lucky as being a player who had a chance to experience Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as its endgame content was being released. Usually I stay away from Monster Hunter & gaming social media groups, because I find most online communities to be exhausting to deal with on account of the fact that they're divided at the best of times, but the release Iceborne's final monsters were different... Players were trying to figure out how to effectively beat these final monsters, and these usually fractured groups were actually coming together and exchanging ideas and information. It was actually really heartwarming to see, and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
In this footage I play a little more defensively than usual. I approach from various angles due to Fatalis having a fairly strong (and at times - one shot) frontal attacks, and I'm trying to get Fatalis' head to turn in my direction and take advantage of it NOT attacking. The tactic doesn't always work, but if your wondering why it looks like I'm hitting random parts it's because I want that big, mean bastard to drop his head so I can smack him in the face! The alternative to this is to play recklessly... which I assure you earns me a quick Felyne Cart Ride back to camp...
I've done my best with this footage to showcase as much of Fatalis' moveset as possible, as well as the phases and general flow of combat. My philosophy is that if I'm going to show off a monster, I want to show you, the viewer, what the monster can do. So bear in mind that this footage is more for entertainment rather than being a how-too guide. Hilariously, I did team up with a group that ended up being a little _too_ effective against Fatalis in the sense that we kept immobilising it and knocking it down continuously. Effective gameplay? Sure! Exciting to watch?... Not really. I did use _some_ of the footage from that hunt for this video... the parts were Fatalis was fighting back that is...
This was a fun, if occasionally painful trip down memory lane for me. Thank you to everyone I teamed up with! Happy Hunting!

This is a Build specifically designed with multiplayer in mind. I sacrifice some higher damage skills, and in place I get the chance to mitigate damage based on percentage, as well as Flinch Free. Flinch Free is pretty much essential when you have 4 bloodthirsty Hunters trying to simultaneously do damage on Fatalis' head when it finally falls down... Delivering some payback always feels satisfying...
