March 31 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Courts Subcommittee, announced his intention to vote for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
In remarks on the Senate floor, Whitehouse praised Judge Jackson’s historic nomination, commended her depth of experience and judicial temperament, and called out his GOP colleagues’ empty concerns over Judge Jackson’s “judicial philosophy.”
Whitehouse also corrected the record on Republican attempts to rewrite history regarding attacks against abortion clinics, the Kavanaugh hearings, and the influence dark money exerts over the Republican judicial selection process.
