On April 17th, 2018, Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 was scheduled to fly from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Dallas Love Field. The flight was being operated by a Boeing 737-7H4 with the registration number N772SW. However, shortly after takeoff, the flight experienced a catastrophic event that would change the lives of everyone on board.
Approximately 20 minutes into the flight, the left engine of the Boeing 737 failed, sending debris flying towards the fuselage. One of the pieces of debris struck the left side of the aircraft, causing a hole to rupture in the cabin window. This led to an immediate depressurization of the aircraft, causing oxygen masks to drop from the ceiling and chaos to erupt on board.
