Kentucky Butter Cake



3 C Flour
2 C Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 C Butter - melted
1 C Buttermilk
2 tsp Vanilla
4 Eggs

Butter Sauce:

3/4 C Sugar
1/3 C Butter
2 Tbsp Water
2 tsp Vanilla


Grease & flour a 10" Bundt Pan

In a large bowl whisk ingredients just until combined. Beat mixture for 3 minutes.

Pour evenly into Bundt pan.

Bake for 65 - 75 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean


Once you remove cake take the back of a wooden spoon and poke holes into the cake.


In a small saucepot heat sugar, butter, water & vanilla until smooth. Pour over holes in cake
and let soak in. Let cake cool completely.

Run a knife around cake to loosen and invert onto a plate.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
