You mentioned that you've been having some irregular spotting or bleeding, and you didn't have your regular period. And you ruled out pregnancy - that's good, you took a pregnancy test and at that time it was negative. If a pregnancy test is taken too early in a pregnancy, you can get a false negative. So my recommendation is to take another pregnancy test, and at this point, you should be far enough along, if you are pregnant, to get a positive result. And if it is positive, congratulations! If your pregnancy test is negative though, and you continue to have spotting or bleeding, it would be best to talk with your doctor, and they can decide if further investigation or treatments are warranted.
There's lots of other reasons why a woman might have irregular bleeding, and they can look into those and decide if any of those apply to you. For example, it could be due to the type of birth control you're using or other medications that you're on. It can also be due to certain medical conditions. Or in some cases, there are problems with the pelvic organs. And so again, the doctor can check it out and decide what needs to be done.
