WASTE NOT WANT NOT - Ep 1 - Pita Chips with Tzatziki. In this series I’m going to show you how to use those kitchen leftovers that we often throw away, saving us money and helping the environment.
I actually think these are way better than plain pita breads?!
You’ll need:
Stale Pita Breads
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Paprika
(Obviously will depend on how many pitas you have to use, but for a whole pack I used 3tbsp Olive Oil, 1 tsp Salt and 1 tsp Paprika.)
Preheat the grill.
Cut up the pita breads and toss with the oil, salt and paprika.
Put onto a baking sheet in a single layer and grill until crunchy. Flip over and grill the other side.
Keep a close eye on them as they do burn quickly.
To make the dip you’ll need:
200g Greek Yoghurt
1/2 Cucumber, grated and the liquid squeezed out
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Fresh Mint, chopped
Mix well
