A few things I (accidentally) left out of the video:
1. I usually water my plants in the mornings in winter.
2. I water my calathea and ferns with distilled water. Everything else gets filtered water from my refrigerator that I let sit overnight (mainly to get to room temp). In the summer, I use the collected water from my dehumidifier, and sometimes rain water!
3. There is no singular "Watering Day" - I don't necessarily water every plant in my home on the same day, but I do tend to notice patterns with my plants as far as watering frequency goes; i.e. hoyas get watered every 2-3 weeks in winter, calatheas every week usually, and ZZ plants I usually don't even look at. Multiple factors are at play, including the type of mix, how much humidity the plant gets, how small the root system is, etc.
4. Light and location also play a big factor in how frequently I water. Plants in my plant room (western aspect windows), and plants under my grow lights get watered way more often as a general rule.
