With all the celebrations at the moment around the life and career of the great Bolshoi ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, it seems a good time to upload this sparkling solo from 'Don Quixote’.
Sadly, I only saw the ballerina once, in 1973 in Milan in the touring Bolshoi production of ‘Anna Karenina’. Her partner was the new talent, Alexander Godunov.
