Rondoliers sing--while Eddie Lang strums--and Joe Venuti fiddles. Arthur Schwartz and Howard Dietz composed this tune for the 1930 London stage musical “Here Comes The Bride” (opened 2/20/30 for 175 performances) and the following year transported it to their score for Broadway’s “The Band Wagon” starring Fred & Adele Astaire.
From 78rpm Columbia 2473-D - High And Low (I’ve Been Looking For You) (Dietz-Schwartz) by Ben Selvin & his Orchestra, vocal by the Rondoliers, recorded June 1, 1931 .
