Dave has been touring and recording with the Dixie Dregs and the Steve Morse Band since 1988, and has just completed a new CD with the Steve Morse Band, "Out Standing In Their Field". When not working with the Morse band, LaRue keeps busy working with other artists, including Joe Satriani, Dream Theater's John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, and the L.A. based band Planet X. With long time partner Glenn Alexander, Dave is getting ready to record a new CD with their band, Stretch. He has also released through his web site his book of transcriptions, titled "Dave LaRue: On the Record", and is working on wrapping up his second solo record. He is also writing, playing and producing for various artists in the central Florida area.
