Parts of Cuba were severely affected when Idalia struck as a tropical storm on Monday. Idalia had 70 mph winds, bringing heavy rains and flooding to the island country. In places like Guanímar, an hour south of Havana, water entered homes and many had to be evacuated. Idalia became a hurricane on Tuesday as it moves toward Florida.
