First Assembly Elections in J&K After Abrogation of Article 370
The Election Commission of India has announced assembly election dates for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Haryana. The citizens of J&K will vote in the assembly elections for the first time since the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to the erstwhile state. The election will be held in three phases, starting from September 18. The second phase of voting will take place on September 25, and the third and final phase of the voting will take place on October 1. The citizens of Haryana will cast their votes on October 1. The results for both places will be announced on October 4.
