As of late July 2022, Mattel has started releasing the first Cars on the Road merchandise, including only Color Changers products so far. Across United States Target stores, collectors are finding the Whale Car Wash set in addition to Color Changers 2-Packs (Story Packs) of Lightning McQueen and Guido, Cruz Ramirez and Pitty and Mater and Sara Coggs. The set includes a different Lightning McQueen Color Changer than the one in the aforementioned 2-Pack.
