Transformation is happening all across our food chain as farmers, food companies and retailers, large and small, work to improve access to safe, nutritious and affordable food—while adapting to meet consumer preferences. All the while, food producers are mindful of expectations for creating a sustainable diet that is also conscious of the effects on our changing climate. Experts from across the food chain will discuss some of the key challenges facing our food systems, including: How is food production, both organic and traditional,transforming to meet demand? How is agriculture using new tools—ranging from hybrid seed, to GMOs, to microbes and big data—to grow more using less? What are the emerging trends in the retail space? And what new technologies are on the horizon that will transform our farms, and ultimately our plates, for tomorrow?
