Resident Evil Village, stylized as VII.I.AGE RESIDENT EVIL, unofficially known as Resident Evil 8 and known in Japan as BIOHAZARD VILLAGE (バイオハザード ヴィレッジ baiohazādo virejji?), is a first person Survival Horror title developed by Capcom. It was released on 7 May 2021. It is the first Resident Evil game for the ninth console generation.
A Gold Edition of the game was released on October 28, 2022 with the Winters Expansion included which comprises 3 more additional characters to The Mercenaries (Village), 3rd person perspective and over the shoulder gameplay and new story Shadows of Rose which focuses on Rosemary Winters 16 years after the main game.
