In addition to heralding the return of a fabled and seldom-heard Fender name from the 1960s, the Modern Player Marauder is one of the most distinctive new guitars in the family, uniquely signified by a new body style...
The Fender Modern Player Marauder uses a Jazzmaster neck pickup and huge-sounding three-coil Fender Triplebucker as its bridge pickup. Unusually, this instrument also has a Koto wood body providing a naturally mellow tone and is complimented by a C-shaped Maple neck.
There's a Rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets on th Marauder with a five-way pickup switch and lower horn blade selector switch, the four-ply aged white Pearloid scratchplate contrasts the Lake Placid Blue finish whilst Jazz Bass-style control knobs complete the aesthetics.
The hardware includes a vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge, vintage-style machine heads and all parts use a Nickel/Chrome finish. The Fender Modern Player Marauder is available in Black and as depicted here in Lake Placid Blue.
